The team behind Food Events is Simon, Stephen, Ann and Michael. With over twenty years’ experience and an unparalleled passion for food and hospitality, you can rest assured that your wedding, party, corporate event or fundraiser is safe in the hands of the Food Events team.
A restaurateur, food writer and event designer, Simon has opened and cooked in a number of restaurants, one of which he still owns. Having brought his creativity, enthusiasm and spirit to the world of catering, Simon has created thousands of stunning events over the last twenty years.
Simon loves Malden oysters with red wine vinegar and shallots, red mullet in any shape or form, and king prawns with garlic and chilli.
Steve’s creativity in the kitchen has taken him from his background in fine dining, cooking in 5 star hotels, to catering hundreds of high profile parties and huge corporate events. He’s passionate about great ingredients and innovative food design, loving nothing more than to travel around the UK, sourcing the very best ingredients and ideas for Food Events.
Steve loves fish and chips (only the very best, from Whitby Bay), and good old rhubarb crumble with Devonshire custard.
Ann started her career in customer care at Marks and Spencer’s, going on to supervise at one of the world’s most famous hotels and fine dining establishments. She joined the Food Events team 13 years ago, as our wedding and event coordinator.
Ann loves fillet steak, medium but with no chips (she doesn’t like chips!) and seared, dressed scallops.
Michael has been our Head Chef for over 10 years. He loves Pan Asian food, working a night a week in one of the UK’s top Japanese restaurants, and frequently travels to Japan to learn more about the country’s fascinating cuisine.
Michael loves sushi, yaki tori and, most of all, Japanese black cod.
